Artemis for Solo Piccolo was written for and is dedicated to the Piccolo virtuoso Lior Eitan. Artemis is the name of the Greek Goddess of Wilderness, Wild Animals and the Hunt. She is often also associated with the Moon.

This work begins with a nocturne-like theme which depicts the Goddess in a Moon-lit Forest. The Central Section is a Scherzo which expresses the Hunt. Finally, the initial theme returns to bring the work to a peaceful close.

Artemis pour Piccolo Seul est écrit pour le virtuose de Piccolo Lior Eitan. Artémis est le nom de la déesse grecque de la nature, des animaux sauvages et de la chasse. Elle est souvent associée à la Lune.

Cette oeuvre commence par un thème de nocturne qui représente la Déesse dans une forêt sous la Lune. La partie centrale forme un scherzo qui déccrit la Chasse. Le thème initial revient enfin pour terminer l'oeuvre dans une ambiance sereine.
