Dog
Music is a reaction to the series of paintings of dogs by the French artist
Pierre-Louis Valence.
Each of the eight short pieces in this suite represents one of the paintings
and the characteristics of each animal. The titles are references to the practice
of giving characteristic titles to movements in the tradition of Couperin.
